1/11 update

January 11, 2019 By AuSable Valley Snowmobile Association

Greetings Sledders,

Reports coming in from the drivers are positive. The trails are looking good. There are bound to be some wounds left over here and there from the Spring type weather we experienced but I’m told they are minimal and I’m sure they will heal as more groomer passes are made. So I think it’s safe to say that the trails are at fair to good.

The tractor that was down with the stack issue will be back online tomorrow morning and the grooming schedule will be back to normal, including our tandem runs during the evening and night hours on the main loop.

        That’s all for now.

Ride Often and Please Be Safe,

    Keith, Sandy and The Girls

TV 9 & 10 forecast:

Tonight: We’re going to see partly to mostly cloudy skies tonight with some isolated light snow possible across the U.P. and Northern Lower. Overnight lows range from 2 to 18 degrees with light winds.

Your Saturday: Saturday is looking mostly sunny to partly cloudy with isolated flurries possible. Highs will be in the low 20s to low 30s. Overall a good weekend to get outside and enjoy the fresh snowfall!

Next Week: More sunshine out there to start off the work week on Monday with highs in the lower to upper 30s. Tuesday sees partly to mostly cloudy skies with the chance for some light snow in spots. Highs are a bit warmer reaching the low 30s to low 40s. Lake effect snow is the story for your Wednesday with highs ranging from the mid teens to low 30s. Thursday is looking mostly to partly sunny with highs in the mid teens to mid 20s.
