February 2, 2021 By AuSable Valley Snowmobile Association

Greetings Sledders,

Currently we are experiencing a wide variety of trail and base conditions. There are stretches of good trail followed by short stretches of snirty trail and we are seeing some dirty corners. Basically we have poor, fair and good trails all mixed together. The trails less travelled like 47 to Lovells and 79 to the Blue Bear are faring better which is always the case. I groomed the Lovells trail Sat and found that most of that trail is in good condition but you will see some snirty sections and one bare stretch thru a clear cut area as an example of what we are seeing.

Hopefully this mixed bag of conditions will change soon as snow is finally in the forecast starting Thursday night and continuing into Friday. The set-up at this point in time is for 3-5 Thurs night and 1-3 on Fri with Lake Effect to follow. Let’s hope the forecast is a solid one.

Ride Often and please Be Safe,

Keith
